Icons on the map
The small / icons on the map indicate XC trails which are combined in “relations” (layer “marked XC Trails”), typically this is done for loops. Click these icons to highlight the entire loop, and get additional information for that loop.
Color coding of icons
For MTB trails, the icon color for the trails indicates the overall trail difficulty (as taken from the mtb:difficulty tag in the OSM database):
- Blue: easy
- Red: intermediate
- Black: advanced
- Unkown
Note that this does not correspond to the mtb:scale which might vary significantly along an entire trail.
For cross-country trails, the icon color for the trails indicate the trail status (as edited/updated directly through this site):
- Red: Closed
- Green: Open/perfect
- Yellow: Open/fair
- White: unkown
